The 31st and 32nd Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

To wrap up the 2013 CMC Mock Draft this pick is sponsored by my personal favorite arcade game as a kid

This game ruled...no two ways about it.  It taught me alot of life lessons...like dont get killed and blow up your enemies.

The San Francisco 49ers Select Tank Carradine DE Florida St.
The rich get richer and the 49ers are the perfect home for Carradine coming off a knee injury.  He can be the heir apparent to an aging Justin Smith and there is no pressure to get him on the field in 2013.

The Baltimore Ravens Select Eric Reid S LSU
With Ed Reed at the end of his career the Ravens go with another Reid (albeit spelled differently).  Reid is a great athlete but cant be expected to make us for get about Ed Reed.

The 29th and 30th Picks of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft are sponsored by Top Gun b/c I just can't stay away from the NES sponsorships.  I sincerely miss the NES and the days I faked sick in order to fire up the console and play.  Then my mom hid the controllers; game-set-match.

So here's to Top Gun, the game where I could never figure out how to get more fuel.

With the 29th pick, The New England Patriots Select:

Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee

The Pats add another weapon for Tommy.  On the opposite side of Cordarelle last year, Hunter grabbed over 70 catches, over 1,000 yds and 9 TD catches for the Vols.  This wasn't done quietly as evidence of his 1st round grade.  Pats dropped Brandon Lloyd this offseason knowing 100% the youth movement of Hunter/Allen/Hopkins would be available.

-----------------------------

With the 30th pick, The Atlanta Falcons Select:

D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston

Mike Mayock is all over this guy - was on the bottom rung of the best 5 CB's to the now the top of the class.  This selection is a wonderful blend of need and value.  Hayden joins Asante Samuel and the other average CB's to strengthen a legitimate area of concern.

The 27th and 28th Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

This pick is sponsored by Contra
This franchise was a grandslam that translated from arcade to game console.  We all know the cheat codes!

The Houston Texans Select DJ Fluker OT Alabama
Fluker would be an absolute steal here.  If he was on the board they would gobble him up.  If gone they would look to the Tennesse receivers and Cal's Kenan Allen.

The Denver Broncos Select Jamar Taylor CB Boise St.
If you watched the Ravens game then you know the Broncos need corners.  Why not grab a Boise St. stud...it worked out well with Ryan Clady!

The 25th and 26th Picks of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft are sponsored by the game with the heavy pockets:  Gyromite.

Seriously, who in the f*ck played this game?

With the 25th pick, The Minnesota Vikings Select:

Matt Barkley, QB, USC

From Day 1, the drafting of Ponder so high was as mind-boggling as JAX drafting Gabbert so high.  Ponder was easily a 3rd round pick - yet Minnesota HAD to take him.  Total waste in my opinion.  So, Coach Frazier gets to draft his guy in California boy Matt Barkley.  This could be a reach and will make or break this franchise in the years to follow.

-----------------------------

With the 26th pick, The Green Bay Packer's Select:

Alec Ogletree, LB, Georgia

Wow, the Pack get a pick that fell on their laps like warm seagull sh*t from Siesta Key.  To add this gem of a talent in a town like Green Bay, where there is nothing to do - is a perfect fit.  Ogletree and Matthews on the field is a pretty nice thing to have.

The 24th Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

Is sponsored by Missile Command (Atari 2600 Edition)

I honestly think this game would be popular even today.  That might be twitch of nostalgia.  I also cant believe the havent made a missile command motion picture with that guy from Magic Mike.  (I guess you could count Independence Day as a knock of version of the missile command game).  If they made a movie out of Battleship then WTF?

The Indianapolis Colts Select Desmond Trufant CB Washington

The Colts are only missing a few pieces so they grab the top CB on the board.  They just need a LB and an OG to fill their holes and there will be plenty of them to choose from in rounds 2 and 3.

The 23rd Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

This pick is sponsored by Grey's Anatomy (The Game!)

They made a game of this...McDreamy and McSteamy and you can decide their future!  Why wasnt this a smash hit?

The Minnesota Vikings Select Sylvester Williams DT North Carolina
If you are the Vikings and you need a Defensive Tackle you basically just have to draft the highest rated guy with the last name Williams and he is destined to be a 10 year pro-bowler

The 22nd pick of the CMC 2013 Mock Draft is sponsored by World Cup Soccer.

Although every player moves at the pace of a sloth, it is impressive how the programmers at NES rallied together to write code on the bicycle kick.

The Saint Louis Rams select:

Bjoern Werner, DE, FSU

With Werner still on the board, Fisher opts to take him with the BPA philosophy.  Ever since Tavon Austin became out of the picture, it is reasonable to say that Fisher and company will hunt for a WR in the 2nd/3rd rounds where a Robert Woods or Quinton Patton could be available.  Werner brings St Louis another young version of Chris Long.

The 21st Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

This pick is sponsored by the Atari classic Combat

This is the first game on the first console I ever owned.  No one in the history of Atari Combat while playing with the one big jumbo plane could defeat the 3 mini planes (seen pictured above).  Notice the scoring system up top.  Pure class

My beloved Bengals Select Matt Elam S Florida

When Kenny Vaccaro went off the board the Bengals became instant trade down bait.  When Cordarrelle Patterson went off the board it became even more likely.

Bengals Rant:  The Bengals are close- real close to being a contender. But they refuse to sign any one of note in free agency...once again.  The steelers and browns are down and the Ravens are in a rebuild...but never the less its the Bengals and they just want to make money.

20th Pick

River City Ransom is one of the games that just kept on giving. I must've rented this game from Phar-Mor a dozen times.

The Chicago Bears select:

Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
This is still an offensive-based league right? Why not take a guy that will make your franchise quarterback happy. Pair him with Brandon Marshall and you've got something good!

The 19th pick of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft is sponsored by Kid Niki Radical Ninja.  The graphics are on par with several choice games coming out on the XBOX 720.

The game is divided up into seven rounds, with a boss character at the end of each one:
  • Round 1: Death Breath
  • Round 2: Spike
  • Round 3: Horned Witch
  • Round 4: Green Grub
  • Round 5: Mad Monk
  • Round 6: Samurai Guard
  • Round 7: Stone Wizard
If you can get past the Green Grub on Round 4, than destiny might be in your corner.  I personally recommend this game over Super Tecmo Bowl for no reason whatsoever.

The New York Giants select:

Manti Te'o, LB, Notre Dame

Yes, Alec Ogletree was on the board, so was DJ Fluker.  The Giants had one of the worst defenses in the league last year - with their LB crew being the weakest link.  Ogletree has the physical intangibles - but it's time Big Blue has the leadership and field smarts of this stud out of Notre Dame.

The 18th Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

This pick is sponsored by Dance Dance Revolution Supernova Edition

No game has ever made me feel more like a God than Dance Dance Revolution.  I can do things on the game platform that I cannot duplicate in any other venue.

The Dallas Cowboys Select Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri

Richardson is a player at one of the many positions of need for the Cowboys.  An athletic big man in the mold of so many cowboys before him.

17th Pick of the CMC Mock Draft

On the Mount Rushmore of Rappers there's Biggie, 2Pac, JayZ and PaRappa The Rapper

Pittsburgh Steelers Select

Jarvis Jones, DE/OLB, Georgia

Value and need pick here. Jones isn't as explosive as Mingo but he's much more steady and as long as his health checks out everything is fine and he'll be a mainstay on the Steelers defense.

The 16th pick of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft is sponsored by Kung Fu Master.

Because, getting to Mr. X and saving Sylvia was of the upmost f*cking importance.

The Saint Louis Rams Select:

Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas

The Rams get the rangy centerfielder, the big hitter, and excellent tackler they most desperately need in defense.  Smart draft considering the offensive explosions coming out of the NFC West (except for Arizona).

The 15th Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

This pick is sponsored by Burger Time

Cuz putting together Burgers is what its all about!

The New Orleans Saints Select Barkevious Mingo DE LSU

The Saints jump at the opportunity to pickup this rare athlete in their backyard.  Mingo has the opportunity to replace some of the aging DE's that have held it down for New Orleans for so long.  Its a natural fit to have a Bayou Bengal playing in the Big Easy

The 14th pick of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft is sponsored by Ikari Warriors.  This nugget of a NES cartridge was pure bliss for the Wilen Brothers and all pre-teenage boys across America.

Ikari Warriors, my Rambo Survival knife with waterproof matches/fishing line/compass, and the Rambo suite of movies were big-time.

The Carolina Panthers select:

Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia

Cam Newton has the keys to the franchise.  He has been begging the front office to deliver him an early x-mas present.  In Austin, Carolina gets the triple-threat they need to turn this mutha out.  It's too sexy of a pick to ignore.

The 13th Pick of the CMC Mock Draft..

Because sometimes teddy bear needs to handle his shit.

The New York Jets select:

Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame

The Jets will likely trade down because this is a tough area. However with Mingo and Jarvis Jones here they could also get the pass rusher they desire. This is a value pick, in essence taking the best player available and a day-one starter

The 12th Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

Is sponsored by Jillian Michael's "Fitness Ultimatum 2009"

Fat lady "I'm gonna get this game and I am going to use it on my WII.  I'm gonna lose weight and have fun doing it!"

1 year later at the used wii game store 34 copies of Jillian Michael's "Fitness Ultimatum 2009" in almost mint condition available in the .99 bin

Nice try fat ladies

The Miami Dolphins Select Xavier Rhodes CB Florida St.

Rhodes is a big corner in the mold of the new breed of Seattle Seahawks corners.  He's got some injury concerns but looks the part.  Miami needs some help in the secondary after shipping off Vontae Davis to the Colts on NFL Hard Knocks last year.
Adventures of Lolo

The 11th pick of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft is sponsored by Adventures of Lolo.

Eurogamer's Lars Tsatsiki called it, "a cutesy platform, yet a game that will divert your attention"

IGN's own Samuel Bitz says, "it's way more addictive than Angry Birds - f*ck yeah!"

NES Mag's Sharry Von Roca Jr added, "playing Lolo is a way of life, driving one to the edge of gameplay"

The San Diego Chargers select:

Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah

With Mingo there and the Chargers needing LB help, they take the BPA.  This is a top 5 pick talent.

The 10th Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

Is sponsored by Golden Tee Golf (original edition)
This was a game changer. Hours were spent aggressively spinning the wheel.  If I could play real golf even half as well as I could Golden Tee I would be rich.

The Tennessee Titans Select Chance Warmack G Alabama
Another OL off the board.  Warmack is a manchild and a mauler.  The Titans need some interior line help and Warmack has the looks of a 10 year road grader.

The 9th Pick in the CMC Mock Draft

If you didn't waste two bucks every Saturday afternoon playing Quarterback in the arcade than you are no friend of mine. If I could find this game right now I'd play it. This game was the shit until Tecmo Bowl came out. Bottom Line.

The Jets select

Dee Millner, CB, Alabama

What's the best way to stop thinking about your old girlfriend. Get one younger and hotter. Fuck you Darrelle Revis...fuck you for life!

http://image.gamespotcdn.net/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/7/587407_39640_front.jpghttp://www.nesforever.com/games/images/Kage-ss-1.jpg

The 8th pick of the CMC 2013 Draft is sponsored by none other than The legend of Kage.  Jumping around tall trees like a fly squirrel and slaying enemy ninja was pure ecstasy. This game is equivalent to a 3rd round pick becoming an All-Pro.

The Buffalo Bills select:

Jonathan Cooper, OG, UNC

With Geno Smith gone, Coach Marrone's eyes will be on Ryan Nassib to groom under Kevin "The Lucky Bank" Kolb.  Cooper has had a meteoric rise in value in the latter stages of the process and will certainly do wonders for a great pair of RB's in Spiller/Jackson.

The 7th Pick in the CMC Mock Draft

This pick is sponsored by the Arcade sensation Joust
Who hasn't dreamed of flying around on an Ostirich, with a Lance, in  a volcano, stealing ostrich eggs, and fighting mounted demon birds?...though so.  Regardless...this game robbed me of many an hour at the old bowling alley.

The Arizona Cardinals Select Ziggy Ansah DE BYU

With the run on OT's the Cardinals now focus their attention on adding some pop to their pass rush.  Their defense was fierce in the first half of the season.  Ansah adds an edge rusher to this talented unit.

The 6th Pick in the CMC Mock Draft

One of the great things about the Sega Master System was that some games were available in card game like  "My Hero". I got this game as a gift for graduating from P.S. 41 with one of the highest averages in my class. It was the pinnacle of my academic achievements.

The Cleveland Browns select:

Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
The good thing about the rookie salary cap is that it allows the flexibility to make up for drafting mistakes...like Brandon Weeden. And the better thing is Weeden, who is somewhere between 31 and 47, can hold the fort for Smith during the first quarter of the season and after the Browns start 0-4, Smith can jump in and hopefully take this franchise to some level of respectability.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/60/Bible_adventures.jpg/200px-Bible_adventures.jpg

The 5th pick of the CMC 2013 Draft is sponsored by Bible Adventures.  In Noah's Ark, you play the part of Noah hunting down and subduing unwilling animals, usually by smashing a vegetable over their head.  It's a great game on a first date if you are trying to score.

The Detroit Lions select:

Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma

Oh it is so tempting to take Dee Milliner here, yet something tells me Dee is not worthy of that high of a pick considering a top notch CB will be available later.  Ok, so Milliner is fast - so was Renaldo Nehemiah.  It's stupid to pass up on a large man of the likes of Lane Johnson.  Lions need to run the ball if they want any chance of balance or else Stafford will be throwing a high rate of 4th Quarter picks.

The 4th Pick in the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

This pick is sponsored by ET the Atari 2600 Edition

Look at those stunning graphics.  In a blatant attempt to cash in on the fame of ET....this awful game hit the market.  ET was running around finding Reese's Pieces and then you fell down a hole you couldnt get out of...game over.

The Philadelphia Eagles Select Eric Fisher OT Central Michigan
Another Tackle off the board.  Unless you want King Dunlap as your Tackle for the next few years...rejoice help is on the way.  Fisher is hot on Joeckel's heals as the top Tackle in this draft.

The 3rd Pick of the CMC Mock Draft

The Oakland Raiders selection is sponsored by the ground-breaking graphics game of one-on-one Dr. J vs Bird

Finally we'll find out who's better!

The Raiders select:

Shariff Floyd, DT, Florida

This guy could be the next Warren Sapp or the next Gerard Warren. I've seen both this year. Still he's athletic and versatile enough up front to provide immediate help.
Millipede Poster.png

The 2nd pick of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft is sponsored by Millipede.  Because only 1 out of every 100 Atari players selected Millipede over Centipede.

The Jacksonville Jaguars Select:

Dion Jordan, DE/LB, Oregon

HC Gus Bradley is a former DC out of Seattle.  He knows the value of a playmaker on defense.  In year 1, he will give much maligned QB Blaine Gabbert one try this season and not draft Geno Smith.

The 1st Pick of the 2013 CMC Mock Draft

The first pick in the long awaited 2013 CMC Mock Draft is sponsored by one of the most important game titles of all time:

A no brainer for the expansion of the classy Hooters franchise...and a must in your collection of Playstation titles.  Just another example of a "why didnt I think of that first!" moments in my life.

The Kansas City Chiefs Select Luke Joeckel OT Texas A&M

The Chiefs make the obvious pick and hope to have a bookend for the next decade.  There are alot of needs on that Chiefs board but Joeckel is the consensus top player.  If you look at the Chiefs they have alot of great talent at some positions and alot of holes at others.  Joeckel fills one of those holes.  Now if they could just get some QB play!
